Ég tók þessar myndir fyrir Yellow Bird Project af handprjónaðri ullarpeysu úr íslenskri ull sem seld er í takmörkuðu upplagi á síðunni þeirra.

Yellow Bird Project eru samtök sem leiða saman góð málefni, flotta stuttermaboli og Indie tónlistarfólk. Hljómlistarfólk á borð við Bon Iver og Yann Tiersen hefur hannað fyrir þá stuttermaboli sem YBP sér um að framleiða og selja, allur ágóði af sölu bolsins fer til góðs málefnis að vali tónlistarmannanna.

Það má t.d. kynna sér samtökin og skoða stuttermabolina betur á heimasíðu YBPog á Facebook síðu þeirra. Á facebook síðunni þeirra eru nokkrar myndir í viðbót sem ég tók.

I shot these images for the Yellow Bird Project of this new limited edition handmade woolpullover from icelandic wool.

YBP is a organization that brings together Indie bands, cool T-shirt designs and good causes. Musicians like Bon Iver and Yann Tiersen have designed T-shirts for the YBP. YBP produces and sells the T-shirt, and all the profits go to a good cause of the musicans choice.

Myndir sem að ég tók fyrir Gleymmérei systur í kaffiboði á Hótel Öldunni, Seyðisfirði. Konum í vintage kjólum fjölgar víst stöðugt á Austfjörðunum og þó víðar væri leitað. Það er hægt að lesa söguna á bakvið Gleymmérei ævintýrið hér.

Ferðin á Seyðisfjörð var ævintýraleg, þetta var í einum dimmasta mánuði ársins og töluverður snjór.

Photos I shot for Gleymmérei (forgetmenot) sisters at a coffee party they held at Hótel Aldan, Seyðisfjörður. I’ve heard that in east-Iceland the number of women wearing vintage dresses is growing constantly thanks to them.

Gleymmérei is a shop for vintage dresses, owned by three sisters and placed in one of the beautiful small towns in Iceland, Seyðisfjörður.

The trip to Seyðisfjörður was adventurous, it was one of the darkest months of the year, when there is light only a few hours a day. Seyðisfjörður lies at the bottom of a fjord between high mountains wich you have to cross to get there. And during those darkest months, (I think it is ca. 2 months period) the few hours the sun is up it doesn’t manage to reach the little village.

Fyrir tveimur árum tók ég þessar myndir af Eyjólfi Eyjólfssyni fyrir kynningarefni, ég hef alltaf haldið mikið upp á þessa myndatöku, þetta var í fyrsta sinn sem ég fann almennilega hvernig má nota Lensbaby linsu til að skapa sterka stemmningu. Kyrrðin og svo snjórinn sem lá yfir öllu eins og fínt hveiti skemmdi ekki fyrir. Ef þið þekkið ekki lensbaby linsurnar getið þið kynnt ykkur þær á heimasíðu þeirra hér og hérna er myndasett á flickr með fleiri myndum sem ég hef tekið á slíka linsu, nánar tiltekið Lensbaby 3G.

Two years ago I shot these images of tenor Eyjólfur Eyjólfsson for promo material. I’ve always liked the result, it was the first time I realized how it’s possible to create a really strong mood with the Lensbaby lens. The quietness and the powderlike snow helped too.
